Assoc. Prof. Monika Halánová, DVM, PhD (1970) is working as associate professor in Institute of Public Health, Unit of Epidemiology, at P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine. She passed study stays in several labs focused on diagnostic of infectious and parasitic diseases and long lasting study stay in Central Laboratory in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Her research takes place at the crossroads of public health, epidemiology, and infectious diseases. She participated on designing, preparation and delivery of curriculum for medical students in field of Epidemiology and Public Health. She also participates on several research projects as principal investigator or scientific co-worker. By this time she published 238 scientific papers and abstracts.
